“I am 17 years old. I was born into a family with no regard for females, my family humiliates and mistreats me for being a woman. But I have seen that all the men and women in a believers’ group have equal value. If there is a God, I have learned that he is a God to women, too. I learned about Christ as a result of the Women of Hope program. I am relieved that I am on the right track now.” I was born in the 1990s into a family that followed the majority religion. I faced many challenges as there was a preference for boys over girls. My seven-year-old brother attended school, but I was not allowed as a girl. I was determined and finally allowed, but I had to travel for over two hours to reach school. By regularly listening to the Women of Hope program, I learned about Jesus. I found solace in Him being a prince of peace. I discovered that Jesus’ life serves as a model for me. I got a job in social work after finishing university. I accepted God for a few reasons. My God is gracious. God is cordial and kind. My goal is to reach God through Christ because men and women are equal.” Despite hardships, every step of the journey is worth it!

“I am 28 years old, and I live with my mother. I have faced numerous challenges -including my father’s abandonment. Four years ago, during an argument with my mother over a book she was reading, driven by curiosity to discover its contents-I realized it was her Bible. She expressed that despite nobody from our faith caring for us, God did care. So she encouraged me to read the Bible, and as I did so and learned about God’s love, I realized that God’s Word had truly changed my life. And we should read His Word full of love and hope, which changed our lives forever! ”

We are so incredibly thankful for the support and prayers received to help women in Afghanistan. My wife and I have been advocating for girls’ rights for years until we were forced out of our city due to extremists. TWR’s Women of Hope Radio program provides a source of hope.
